Year 11 and 12 Students

We are pleased to invite Year 11 and 12 Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Foundation (QATSIF) scholarship recipients to register their interest to participate in the GUMURRII School to Uni Program.

Eligible students will receive dedicated support from the GUMURRII Student Success Unit. Engagement staff will work with students to:

  • develop and maintain a plan for future university study;

  • connect students with university study areas and Indigenous university staff, identifying and linking students into appropriate pathways, programs and opportunities;

  • access to QTAC application vouchers and support workshops; and

  • bursaries to attend Griffith University’s Year 12 Academic Bootcamps in preparation for external examinations in Term 4.

Students will also be invited to attend on-campus activities such as Griffith Open Day and GUMURRII events throughout the year.

To register, students must:

  • be enrolled in Year 11 or 12;

  • a QATSIF scholarship recipient; and

  • be an ATAR student or a non-ATAR VET pathway student completing a AQF Certificate III or above.

Year 9 and 10 Students

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Year 9 and 10 students are invited to our three-hour workshops covering SET planning for future university study. Workshops will connect students with GUMURRII staff, cover the importance of SET planning to meet university subject prerequisites and provide information to students and their families on pathways to university.

  • Term 1, Week 10 - Monday 25 March 8:30am – 12:00pm (Logan)

  • Term 1, Week 10 - Tuesday 26 March 8:30am – 12:00pm (Gold Coast)

  • Term 1, Week 10 - Wednesday 27 March 9:30am – 11:15am (Online)
